Art

Lorina works in the mediums of drawing and video.

Since 2016 she is reflecting on personal moments with ink drawings, reaffirming a fragile memory with a cinematic gaze.

In her video-performances and experimental videos she offers insight into personal conflict while commenting on the effects of Western politics and capitalism. With a simple language and reduced aesthetics the videos touch on topics like patriarchal structures, exploitation, artificial intelligence and blind consumerism.

Lorina exhibited at (selection): DISKURS, the Video Art Festival, 48 h Neukölln, Berlin; Closing Soon, Athens and Galerie Khodynka in Moscow, Russia and she received funding from the Berlin Senate for Culture and Europe. In the Traveling Feather Video Series for the Present Square Project she collaborated with Leiko Ikemura, Candida Höfer and Colette Lumiere.
